Jürgen O. Olbrich

Sometimes – Seven times a day

Between the 19th and 25th of May, Jürgen O. Olbrich will spend a number hours each day walking around Lichtenberg and will leave behind performative, minimalist sculptural interventions of a humorous, reflective nature at squares, on fences and in courtyards. Taking on the role of an urban ‘gardener’ for the big city, the artist wanders through the district with a pushcart full of his materials, showcasing both himself and the urban situation at the same time. After seven days, the routine he follows every day will have left visible traces in Lichtenberg’s urban environment.

This project was made possible by support from the district of Lichtenberg’s cultural fund.
