Stella Geppert

To me, positioning and appropriation in and of spaces are processes of interdependent description and reformulation of societal conditions of an existential nature. My work operates at the threshold of the ‘everyday invisible’, it ‘logs into’ structures and renders existing qualities visible by means of a shifting process. Forms of communication, thought and action find concrete spatial implementation here. I treat spatial appropriation actions as a preliminary stage of ‘architectural processes of formation’ and of the possibility of active restructuring of pre-existing architectural, institutional framework conditions.
