Präsentation künstlerischer Interventionen des artist’s in residency Programms der Lichtenberg Studios 2011
The “Lichtenberg Studios” studio programme of the Intervention Berlin e. V. association enables international artists to spend several weeks exploring Lichtenberg and its urban, architectural and social spaces and carrying out subtle interventions in the district. In this context, aesthetic, functional, cultural-historical and social connections between art, architecture and public space are developed. District neighbourhoods, specific locations and buildings are explored, social spaces are created and references are established.
Social conditions of everyday life are created and dialogues with passers-by and residents are opened up. Uwe Jonas, the director of the “Lichtenberg Studios”, presents the results of the residencies that were created in 2011 as part of the artist-in-residence programme.
